Gazprom confirms plans to send gas to Moldova in May

CHISINAU, Apr 29 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom has confirmed plans to supply the contracted volume of gas to Moldova in May, Moldovagaz CEO Vadim Ceban said on his Telegram channel Friday.

"Gazprom has officially confirmed the volumes of natural gas booked for supplies to the Republic of Moldova in May 2022," Ceban said.

Gazprom and Moldovagaz prolonged their long-term gas supply contract for 5 years in October after protracted negotiations. Gazprom said then it agreed to almost all Moldova’s conditions taking into account the situation in the country, but insisted that Chisinau make current payments in full and on time.
